Getting Ready for Summer (Topshop & ASOS Haul)

My most recent purchases will show how ready and excited I am for summer! Everything I’ve bought has been from the Petite category of Asos and Topshop and I don’t know why I haven’t been buying from that category because the fit is just perfect on me. Regular sized items usually fit me well and the only issues I have are with the length of jeans, hence my old username idreamofperfectjeans. I wish all stores would be more considerate to us vertically challenged humans and have a Petite Section. Shall we start a petite-tion? lol!

Story behind this beautiful Asos Dropwaist Floral Dress was that I have been eyeing this piece since I saw Zoella wearing it in another colour. I waited awhile before purchasing it as it was quite expensive and when I decided I really wanted it, it was gone BUT they had it in another colour. I kept going back to the site for about a month deciding whether I should get it and when I checked a few weeks back it was 50% off and without thinking twice, I clicked away ’til I got my invoice from ASOS! Good things come to those who wait lol! So proud of myself for waiting and I think i deserve, not a pat on the back, but another dress…kidding! Unfortunately, it’s back to its original price but it is a lovely dress with good quality material. Discounted or not, you will not regret getting this!

This Topshop Slip dress comes in so many colours and even in printed ones. It reminds me of the scene in Clueless where Cher had a white Calvin Klein dress on and her dad said it looked like underwear lol. This dress is so easy to wear. Fuss free, Would look great with layering too.

Breton Cropped Top from Topshop. Also comes in Red.

Topshop Highlighter in Sunbeam and cream blush in Head Over Heels (both sold out on the website). My photo doesn’t do justice to how great the colours are of these two products. I’ve owned a Sunbeam highlighter before and it just gives you a glowing fresh look. I reckon it would look even better on tanned skin.

Round framed Sunglasses from ASOS. I got them in both black and white. The white ones are also sold out though :(

Boyfriend Jeans and Heatless Waves

I love Selena Gomez so I decided to try Meredith Foster’s, also known as StilaBabe09on YouTube, tutorial on how to achieve Selena Gomez’s Heatless Waves. All you’ll be needing is an elastic band and sea salt spray. After washing my hair last night, I braided it and kept it overnight and in the morning I let my hair loose and sprayed my KMS sea salt spray and that was it! Easy as!

Everything Will Be Alright

There was nothing to do today so my boyfriend and I had a quick drive around our suburb and found this beautiful quaint spot. Everything was so serene and it was a great place to just sit, think, and not worry about anything.

Lazzzy Monday

I spent the entire weekend catching up with friends and now I need to catch up on some sleep. I was feeling a bit lazy today but I had to help my boyfriend do some clothes shopping for his conference. He tried on so much clothes and I was running around the store getting him sizes so thank goodness I had comfy shoes on. Here's what I wore today:

Little Achievements

I woke up smiling these past two days for the simplest reasons that two of my favourite stores to shop in, Glassons and WildPair, have followed me on Instagram and they reposted two of my photos on their official Instagram! Yay!!! Haha! Oh and last week, my friend Kayla tagged me with my picture on Glassons' Facebook that had been up since June (I was still using a different blog username) which I had no idea about and this instantly made me jump up and down and it truly made my day. I mainly put up this blog as I wanted to inspire people through fashion and use this as a creative space to just let all my stress out and turn my frown upside down through my number one passion...fashion! These simple achievements, as I would like to call them, make me feel that what I am doing has a purpose. Do follow me on Instagram trishworethis.

Hope you've all had a lovely day! xx

Textured Cosy Cardigan

I had so much to do today and on top of that, I decided to clean out my closet and donate my pre-loved clothing to charity. I only had little time to spare and it was way too windy to get all pose-y as well and I was being blown off my balance so I just took quick outfit-of-the-day photos. The boyfriend also suggested that I looked like an ostrich with the cardigan I had on haha! Regardless, I am in love with it!

Chanel Vitalumiere Eclat Radiance Comfort Compact

The Chanel Vitalumiere Eclat Radiance Comfort Compact is uh-mazing!!! It truly does make my skin look radiant and healthy and I don’t even have to apply that much product on. I use it everyday with no liquid foundation and it just really does the job of making your skin look like it has a natural glow.
I never really cared too much about the face powder I’d use to set my foundation because I don’t really think there’s a big difference when I use it or don’t, but this face powder is so light on the skin and I cannot stress how radiant my skin really looks when I apply it. I prefer a dewy look as opposed to a matte one as well. I have a combination skin type and it just sits on my skin the whole day and surprisingly it does not make my concealer crease as I tend to have really oily eyelids. I got this when I was at the airport in Sydney on my way back to Auckland (duty free make up shopping is the best!!!) so I did get it a little bit cheaper, but I would still purchase this on a regular retail price because it is that worth it!
(Apologies for the horrible lighting)

Monochrome and The Zara Skort

I know it’s a little late to be blogging about this but I was so happy when I finally got my hands on the most coveted Zara Skort I’ve been seeing in most blogs I follow. We don’t have Zara here and so I thought it was going to be impossible for me to have one, but I had an emergency flight to Manila and I put it on my agenda to go on the hunt for one.  I actually wanted to get it in two colours, black and white, but it’s a good thing practicality made its way to my undecided brain and so I chose (after a good ten minutes of debating with myself in the fitting room) to just get it in black. I love everything about it especially it’s versatility. For today i chose to put together a monochrome outfit. My camera’s battery went flat and so we used my boyfriend’s camera phone to take photos. I must say I was pretty impressed with the photo quality of Samsung Note 2, it was a life saver! Anyway, If you stumble upon The Zara Skort or something similar, don’t think twice, get one…or two! :p

Tweed and Traipsing in the Park

The sun has finally decided to come out of hiding after weeks of yucky rainfall…and hail! On good winter days like these, I just want to enjoy the weather and stay outdoors until the sun sets. It gets pretty depressing being cooped up in an apartment where all I see is the facade of adjacent buildings and no natural light coming in. Also, I’ve recently been reading up about fashion during the 1940′s and so for today, I have put together an outfit that is just a wee bit reminiscent of that decade. Lots of browns and red or coral lips were worn by the ladies during that time.
Hope you’ve all had a lovely day! xx
